Kellogg Names Mohit Anand MD

Breakfast cereal brand Kellogg India Pvt Ltd on Tuesday said it has appointed Mohit Anand as managing director for its India and South Asia business. Anand joins Kellogg from Unilever where his last assignment was the global vice president spearheading the water purification category for the company based out of London. Unilever is the global market leader in the in-home water purification business with a footprint across markets like China, India and South East Asia. Prior to that, Anand was the global vice president for Lipton. Kellogg named Mohit Anand MD said in a statement: “The India breakfast and snacks market in particular is constantly evolving with dynamic consumption trends and entry of several players.” Amit Banati, president, Kellogg Asia Pacific said: "We are pleased to have Mohit join Kellogg to lead our India and South Asia business. Mohit is an excellent leader with deep India, Asia Pacific and global experiences across a number of categories and I am excited to have him join us and build on Kellogg India's legacy." Prior to Unilever, Anand was with another consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble where he worked across functions including marketing for India, Philippines and Singapore, the statement added. According to Kellogg names Mohit Anand MD LinkedIn profile, he studied at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, and has worked through a series of functions, including operations and marketing, across diverse markets in India and overseas. Speaking of his new role, Anand said, "I am excited to join a company that has created love over breakfast tables for over a century. The India breakfast & snacks market in particular is constantly evolving with the dynamic consumption trends and entry of several players. I am looking forward to the ways of further unlocking the potential of the category through nutritious foods that Kellogg offers."
